It was genius by the creator(s) to let go of the notion of centrally trying to stabilise the market value of a digital bearer asset token & to delegate and decentralise the issuance supply schedule to the computer network and let the free market determine the price value.

It’s easy to see the solution now because hindsight is 20/20 but it really was pure genius.
