Home fibre Internet installation.

XGS-PON fibre from Gigaclear in the UK

We’re starting off at 400Mb/s

If all goes well and our old Cat 5 cabling can take it, we’ll upgrade to 1Gb/s.

Technically the fibre is capable of supporting 10Gb/s

We’re starting off with 400Mb/s because I’m not certain my old Cat 5 cabling can handle 1Gb/s

We’ll do some testing and if all goes well we’ll upgrade to their highest 900Mb/s service.

It uses XGS-PON fibre, so they could technically offer 10Gb/s
