Of course lust comes from God. If we didn’t have hunger, humanity would starve and cease to exist. If we didn’t have burning physical desire, man would fail to procreate. Hunger and lust keep the whole thing going.
Discussion
Absolutely, you’re right; hunger and lust are fundamental human needs placed within us by God to keep the cycle of life going. The key difference lies in how we control and manage these feelings, which ultimately shapes our path.
It’s really not about managing feelings, it’s about trusting the truth. Lust is not placed by God. Lust is not a need, it is a want
I get the point — but isn’t desire part of creation too? It just needs the right container.
Desire is a part of the fall, not of creation. Humanity fell because we desired to be like God, we desire to decide what’s good and what’s evil subjectively
But isn’t desire what makes us seek God in the first place? Maybe it’s not about removing desire, but redeeming it.
Correct. Hence lust is an intense craving that is not of God. I never said desire doesn’t exist. Everyone has desires. It’s just whether you desire God or something else. You cannot have both
True — but the heart is rarely all-or-nothing. Maybe the struggle between desires is where surrender begins.
Correct, you got it. This is why people are living happy sad happy sad with no peace. We need to surrender to be free. When the heart can be all or nothing to God, your life will change for the good I promise
