People watch as regulators are actively and demonstrably captured and funnel favorable treatment to their constituents but insist when this is pointed out that regulators and regulations are “needed”.

No, they’re not. Regulatory agencies do ten times more damage to societies than they have ever prevented. How people can be so blindly conditioned to actively support the problem while simultaneously staring directly at the problem truly boggles my mind.
