For as long as I code, I will contribute to #Bitcoin as a medium of exchange. Satoshis must flow to all humans around the world.

If it is a Bitcoin conference, it must accept $BTC!

Proud to see TheBitcoinConf running nostr:npub155m2k8ml8sqn8w4dhh689vdv0t2twa8dgvkpnzfggxf4wfughjsq2cdcvg with nostr:npub1ex7mdykw786qxvmtuls208uyxmn0hse95rfwsarvfde5yg6wy7jq6qvyt9 plugin!

It's obvious - Lightning has matured so much since I first integrated it in nostr:npub155m2k8ml8sqn8w4dhh689vdv0t2twa8dgvkpnzfggxf4wfughjsq2cdcvg. It is now ready to help us πŸŠπŸ’Š everyone that wants to use Bitcoin for commerce.

It's as easy as a regular credit card experience - tap to pay!

I spent over 4 years at nostr:npub1ex7mdykw786qxvmtuls208uyxmn0hse95rfwsarvfde5yg6wy7jq6qvyt9 coding and helping build fiat on and off ramp - at the end of the day, we need interference for legacy systems.

In the last month, finally the two pieces are connected with the plugin:

https://github.com/rockstardev/strike-btcpayserver-plugin

This plugin is heavily based on work Marfusios (https://mkotas.cz) has done, and me and nostr:npub1zfytz6ktce3av2svlfpl0e79e44tnskxmvlpkcmc7q0xct3qa49swvm60l have tweaked it for all the merchant vendors in Nashville.

An exciting week is ahead for us at #Bitcoin2024! Thanks to everyone who helped power it with Bitcoin payments.

I can't wait to see Trump, Ross and David Bailey Bolt Cards in action. Hit me up if you see me on the conference floor; I might have one for you 😘

Finally, kudos to nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx for helping make this happen βœŠπŸ—½

No moment in recent memory was nearly as sweet as getting my pay server instance up with my own domain lighting addresses.

keep hacking 🫑

im collecting these now πŸ€“

I gotta save up some for you

Keep it up man, that's a genuine satisfaction!

nothing like coding cool FOSS stuff πŸ«‚

How did you do it?

Exposing to clearnet was my largest hangup...

The wavetops of my path:

- Umbrel install

- Set up Lightning node with inbound and outbound

- Install cloudflare app on umbrel

- Create cloudflare account and tunnel (Zero trust > Networks > Tunnel)

- Execute this connection... https://x.com/nmfretz/status/1796874992304714121

- Install BTCPay and follow documentation to enable Bitcoin and Lightning in the app

NOTE: lightning addresses in BTCPay when logged in local network will resemble the local umbrel IP. If you log into BTCPay from web interface with credientials, then the lightning addresses will display with proper domain assigned.
