Electric cars will mean more coal needs to be burnt to keep the electricity grid powering the cars... Additionally, the batteries need replacing more regularly burning through other finite resources... EVs won't save the world... That said hubby and I are in the process of buying one now. It's an awesome tax write off and we will sell it before the seven year warranty on the battery ends.
