The problem isn't that tiktok is gathering all this data, the problem is that they aren't sharing it with the US agencies like every other social media company does.

They need it to be owned by someone who will give them full access, so basically anyone other than the Chinese, Russians, or Iranians.

Here in Canada just about every ATM and POS accepts UnionPay and nobody bats an eye. Who knows how many Chinese debit cards get passed to politicians?

That makes me think the truckers should have used Chinese bank accounts instead.

Politicians just proved during covid they are 100% bought and paid for by whoever has the biggest wallet and the last thing on their minds are the suckers who think it's a democracy. Canada and Australia seemed to be the absolute worst offenders.
