Covenants proposers are just spam apologists at this point. The mempool is clearing 2 sats/vbyte transactions even now that Bitcoin is hotter than ever. Most of the block space is polluted by spam; inscriptions and runes have achieved nothing but trying to sell shitcoins and JPEGs to naive speculators.

Good hard forks to have, in my opinion, are:

- Shrink the block size back to 1MB (as it was pre-SegWit)

- Fix bugs via the Great Consensus Cleanup Fork

Keeping the network lean and its code easy to maintain should be the goal we strive to achieve."

What do #Nostr users think about this? Let me know!
