After spending forever tweaking a pitch for my latest MS, I'm starting to wonder: Do these things truly capture agents, or is it a key word within it (e.g., mermaids) that grabs them, no matter how poorly worded the pitch itself is?

Skimming reddit pubtips, now it’s really busy, gives a bit of feel for what jumps out from the query pile. There’s defs an art to pitching well
