I keep getting accused of being a depressed boomer but I legitimately don’t think it’s just age etc. I grew up in the Golden Age of vidya, the 1990s and 2000s. Every year there were bangers that would remain playable and worthwhile literally decades later. It was also the era where all of these forever franchises got minted.

And what I’m waiting for, is more of that. I’m waiting for a game that isn’t just a slightly altered version of the previous one. It’s the SOUL vs SOULLESS meme, but without any irony.
