The #Bitaxe 601 Gamma does not utilize the old 4 pin fan connector that previous Bitaxe board versions did.

The Bitaxe 601 Gamma utilizes a micro 4 pin connector (to the left of the red circle), which is not compatible with current Noctua fan connector options. @solo_mining is currently working with Noctua for a solution.

As a workaround, users have been soldering the Noctua wires to the spot on the PCB where the old 4 pin connector use to be (circled in red).

Any idea on a hex gamma? Or is that far away?

Can the Noctua fan be run in tandem with the factory fan?

Yes that was a big surprise for me, I bought the noctua 5V fan at the same time that I ordered the Gamma. For all the great minds involved with #bitaxe, we need a better standard cooling solution.

How else are we going to boil the oceans !!

I soldered a standard fan header on a nd now I'm using a fan on the rear to cool the Gamma; dropped temps quite a bit too!

Mind sharing where you sourced it?

Do you have an idea of how much your temps dropped on average? Where did you source the header for the fan?
