Miscellaneous
The great moment is finally upon us : Eulora is finally beta, version 0.1.0 has been released, oh joy of joys.
In order to play it :
download the source files (155 MB) and follow the install guide ;
register yourself with assbot's Web of Trust (see the instructions here) and then ask for an Eulora account in #bitcoin-assets.
As discussed in the February statement, it is our expectation that the game world will attain permanence, which means that in all probability you get to keep any items you create starting now.
Some highlights :
Mining is functional. You explore the environment (command /explore) and sometimes find goodies. If you find anything you obtain a (lockable) claim, which you can either develop directly (raw materials required) or trade away to another player. A total of 10 basic harvestables + 9 farming, 8 mining and 8 lumbering items (35 total) are available (along with dedicated exploration tools for each line).
Crafting is functional. A total of 69 different recipes await your efforts (some of these are available from the merchants, and some require more advanced tools and equipment - which you can craft yourself!)
Other news :
This coming Sunday, June the 7th, in between 19:00 and 23:00 GMT the first game event will take place. It will consist of me handing out enchanted magic bags to all comers, engraved with the recipient's name. The enchantment allows these bags to produce 1`337 game coins each dayii. As the game coin is anchored to one satoshi per, you probably want to hang on to these ancient relics.
As discussed on the Jobs Board, we are still looking for binary maintainers for various platforms.
