After some research, I've come to a conclusion that Core is not at fault here. I'd like to see the project move to a more decentralized venue though, having Gmail and Microsoft as the platforms is iffy to say the least.

Folks need to study the intricacies of PRs and be more open to dialogue without emotional drama attached. It's a technical discourse, not idealogical one.
