Keeping nostr nostalgic
Lame
I grew up in the Metro Detroit area. In the 90s there was a late night segment on one of the local radio stations called Pillow Talk, hosted by Alan Almond. It mostly consisted of soft rock, soft pop, and alternative romance songs from the 80s and 90s. Almond had this perfect, iconic, soothing radio voice. He was a bit of a local legend and mystery because he never shared any photos of himself. No one outside of his immediate circle of family, friends, and coworkers knew what he looked like, but everyone knew his voice.
As someone who also has a great radio voice, you would likely appreciate it.
Anyway, I often listened to Pillow Talk at night when falling asleep as a young kid (having no idea what "pillow talk" meant, mind you) and he always played this song by Jewel. So much so that I pretty much directly associate this song with that radio segment.
Just seeing your link without even clicking on it, I was instantly taken back to that era of my childhood.
Wild how music does that.
