There’s the Battle of Carthage scene in Gladiator. May not be historically accurate though.

have seen gladiator a couple of times

not that i am able to remember it well

was being a smart ass - it’s the main battle scene in the coliseum. River Phoenix says something like “my history’s a little vague, but isn’t Rome supposed to win the battle of Carthage?”
