Beekeepers and Honey badgers of Nostr... Do you have any thoughts on this Zambian Forest Honey stuff?

I seem to be seeing it in more and more places. And it's not a ridiculous price 🤔

'Zambian forest honey is unique, aromatic and richly flavoured. It’s harvested from wild bees in the untamed Miombo rainforests of Zambia, at the source of the Zambezi river. The region is home to one of the world’s highest densities of wild bee colonies, and cold pressed for a high pollen content.'

Are they native bee colonies or just wild?

If I'm buying honey to be shipped from afar, I might have to go with Europe where honeybees are native

Hmm I have no idea. 🤔

They have native honey bees in Africa though that's why "killer bees" were Africanised bees they are cross bred hybrids.

I just worry with how preferred European honeybees are, "wild bees" could mean invasive European honeybees.

I'd definitely be excited to try native African bee honey if that's what it said on a jar on my shelf.

It's also fun how we're speculating on this instead of looking it up. nostr:npub1njst6azswskk5gp3ns8r6nr8nj0qg65acu8gaa2u9yz7yszjxs9s6k7fqx yolo buy it and see how it tastes maybe?

I think I'll give it a go it's only £4

Hold on idk that's a lot of hawktuahcoins

You should try and get some mad honey
