Help me out here.

How does one feel strongly about Jesus? How does one have a personal relationship with Christ?

In general I feel very little or nothing when I think about god and he exists to me more as a vague concept.

Any advice?

I did magic mushrooms once and God gave me a hug. Literally transcendent experience.

Had this overwhelming sense of peace, that everything would be okay, and joy/awe in existence/reality

Before I was an atheist and at best thought the bible had some wisdom.
