#hottake: Self-custodial setups - self hosted websites and services - are the only true ways to have your cake and eat it. Not the most convenient, but once you have it running, you hardly need to do anything with it.

Selfhost to selfimprove. Don't give anyone your data but yourself.

Running your own NextCloud, Jellyfin, Home Assistant, Bitcoin, Lightning and other services. On your own hardware in your own home - not on someone else's server, but on stuff you have the most control over.

Ok, I used to do that in the business I used to run. It is a lot of electricity and work. Today it is for me not possible, due to no home. I live nomadic or as a wanderer.... Or however you want to call it. So, to have my own Server is a little problem.
