Maybe, just maybe they don't want Bitcoin to succeed.
Lightning is a hot mess and anyone that says different is an idiot. I've been running nodes since... well I was one of the first 200 nodes..
that was six or seven nodes ago for me. Lol.
And the people behind LND are doing a great job, but why would they not implement bolt12? It's simple. It's either they don't want to concede to blockstream or something else.
And something else could just be ignorance. So we'll see.
