On Twitter we used to do #followfriday where people would curate recommendations for new users. That practice got replaced by algorithmic follower recommendations. I think we should embrace people helping people. It can be manual set of links to start but also we could build it in to a feature using lists.

I can create an invite link that, if someone subscribe to a new account (nostr or fedi) will have some following, subscribed hashtags, muted hashtag, and predefined filters.
So I could have a "astronomy" themed invite links I can send and people will embark easily with a non-empty high signal timeline.
