I agree with Edward Snowden and Meredith Whittaker from Signal, “upload moderation” is a surveillance ploy.

So what are some ways to tackle CSAM without violating privacy rights or eroding encryption? I offer a few suggestions in this video and I’m open to feedback. 💜

When I speak about China in the video above I’m speaking about this. It hasn’t worked even when maximum loss of privacy was tried. There is no need to try that approach again.
