There's more to growing a good beard than just not shaving. It takes commitment. You have to not shave EVERY DAY.

For me, it's resisting the thought "wouldn't your chin be so much cooler if you didn't have all this hair hanging off it? Don't you want to feel the breeze on your cheeks again?"
