When I get home tomorrow morning or maybe as I sit on the airplane, I am going to write a thorough review on #Bitcoin in Costa Rica. I believe all Bitcoiners should visit Bitcoin Jungle in Costa Rica and spend their bitcoin on anything and everything. They have over 200 businesses that accept bitcoin readily, without issue, and 90% of the country accepts #bitcoin indirectly via SINPE if you use the nostr:npub14f26g7dddy6dpltc70da3pg4e5w2p4apzzqjuugnsr2ema6e3y6s2xv7lu app. That's wild!

We often hear about El Salvador being a Bitcoin Mecca due to its legal tender status, but every time I read reviews, I see people mention that they had issues in many places using bitcoin - from adoption, to educational issues, to finding WiFi or data connections. I had zero issues and used Bitcoin in a dozen places in Bitcoin Jungle. Now, I am obviously biased as I have been to Bitcoin Jungle twice and Bitcoin Beach zero times, but from my standpoint, this grassroots project seems more successful.

If you've been to Bitcoin Beach, I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences from there.

I’ve been to both, and both are doing a fantastic job. I think the adoption in Uvita is actually further ahead at the same stage to El Zonte. I suspect mainly due to the accessibility of smart phones to business owners. I look forward to more projects like these.

Bitcoin Jungle gives them Point of Sale devices too if they'd like to use them.
