Meat, fruit, and honey seem to satiate all of my cravings. Haven’t had processed food or seed oils in a year so far!

Fruit and honey are full of fructose - the addictive drug.

I wouldn’t call it a drug. Your brain runs on glucose and your muscles store glucose in the form of glycogen. You are sort of taking a shortcut by using fruit instead of going full carnivore. It makes building muscle a lot easier which is I am okay with it.

Fructose and glucose are different things. But anyway, gluconeogenesis works just fine for building muscles. 🤷‍♂️

Fructose is converted to glucose so it ends up being the same thing.

I’ve heard of gluconeogensis but is it just as efficient as eating glucose directly? I don’t think I’ve ever met a carnivore that wasn’t super skinny.

No, fructose is converted to fat. IIRC it can not be used for anything else.

Gluconeogenesis is both effective and has nothing to do with a person being skinny. It takes time to ramp it up but once adapted you see no difference* in case of short workouts and improvements in marathons and such.

For some examples check Anthony Chaffee and Shawn Baker who are carnivores and absolutely not skinny. Anthony also made a bunch of interviews with various athletes and body builders.

* Actually I experience one difference I've never seen anyone talk about: I had constant nausea when squatting before carnivore. Since carnivore I didn't have a single instance of it and I increased the weight by 10kg. I guess it may be just me.
