I don't think there's any point connecting the 2

We love Zeus, their team is fantastic! 😊 We’ve also integrated the Olympus LSP in our LSP list for private channels.

Zeus is still working on improving their NWC features.

We have them on point💪

With our app connections(NWC), we can enable subscriptions, seamless app integration, and even create subaccounts for yourself, friends, or family, all with a single Alby Hub ⚡.

Best,

JP

Preesh!

Will legacy NIP-05s be also sunset in January?

I am unclear about that.

Are there instructions for multiple accounts off one albyhub? I couldn't find them yesterday.

I'm trying to decide if I should migrate away from lndhub for my uncle Jim work.

Depends on what version you are using. The cloud-hosted version is its own node. The one you can install on your Start9 or Umbrel requires you to be running an LND node that it will use for liquidity.

There is the Alby Account with the lightning address, the Alby Extension - those do NOT give you a node. You have to connect a node to those. NWC (Nostr Wallet Connect) is the best spec for that.

Alby Hub comes with a lightning node.

So Alby Hub is the node/wallet/where your sats are and you connect other services (Extension, Account, Nostr Clients, etc.) to that one.

does this explain it?

Sort of

no that all continues as is.

Old legacy accounts will just not be able to receive payments without a hub.

Cool, thanks!

Alby Hub Cloud comes with a node, not Alby Hub. You still need a node for that, I suppose

You need to run Alby Hub somewhere. This is either on one if your devices like a home server or you can run it in the Alby Cloud. We have a one-click deploy of Alby Hub (the node) there.

( for the hosting we charge)

So Alby Hub includes the node and it just depends where you run it
