Name one Group Chat / Community solution that:

1️⃣ you can self-host

2️⃣ has Chat UX that's actually desirable

3️⃣ has more content types than just Chat

Even without Nostr, it'd be worth building.

SimpleX🤷‍♂️

Testing zaps on this note… we made seven attempts to⚡zap this note, at sinedinzigan@minibits.cash, over a period of 43 minutes. All seven attempts were successful. You should check on your end to be sure you received these. Average zap time was 5379ms (5.4 seconds). We consider this zap time slow... generally, zaps should complete in under two seconds. (Other Nostr users might think your zaps are broken, might not zap you again.) We recommend you receive zaps with a well-connected, cloud-based Lightning node to reduce inbound zap latency.

Keet?

1. Forced to self-host (by keeping a device always on) ❌

2. Very mediocre UX

3. Nothing beyond Chat/Calls

Testing for this note… we made six attempts to⚡zap this note, using your lightning address starting with "nielliesmons", over a period of 29 hours. All six attempts were successful. Please check on your end to be sure you received. Average zap time was 5033ms (5.0 seconds). We consider this zap time slow... generally, zaps should complete in under two seconds. This is all I want, whether its nostr or not. Simplex is pretty good ( prolly not normie ready), although I've never used it for group chats just one on one messaging using my own service.

We tested zaps and zap receipts on this note… we made seven attempts to⚡zap this note, at itsmoro@stacker.news, over a period of 4 minutes. Seven of the zaps were successfully paid... Please check for 7 satoshis received. Problem: we found that your lightning address server **did not** produce any zap receipts. This means that nobody else could see see that you got zapped... no number appears next to the ⚡icon after zapping.... We recommend that you use a cloud-based Lightning node to get more reliable zaps.

just tried it again -- yes it seems you are not generating zap receipts

i don't really know what to do about that. it's working for receiving. You could check with Stacker News

i updated a setting, i think itll work now to reflect zaps

tried it again now, still don't see the zap receipt (no number appears next to the zap symbol after zapping) .... maybe someone else can try it to confirm...

hmm, odd. not sure

i figured it out. It has to do with whether or not you have your stacker news wallet setup proxy through their node or not. if i turn it on, the zaps appear
