No, big corporates appear in both heavily-regulated and lightly-regulated markets. Monopolies and oligopolies are just people pressing an advantage until they corner a plurality of market share. You can't prevent it, you can only ask people to boycott or evade those companies, out of principle, in order to reassert more balance in the market.

In other words, the most effective counter to market capture is social pressure, not formal regulation. Speak to people. Explain the problem. Show them a way around the problem or even away from the problem. Start a revolution of consumers.

Ah the lobbies yes. The only difference to what i say is, that they can't be created if there is not a lack of regulations that prevent them being created. And this happens when you adapt the more free market practice-ideology.
