On keeping a record of one’s dreams, I didn’t expect to have much older dreams that I had forgotten years ago return to memory—and that is what is happening.

Writing my dream from last night, an “onion” on the surface peeled back to reveal dream layers that dovetailed with dreams from long ago.

Oh hello rabbit holes within rabbit holes.

Interesting. I have little to no recall of dreams these days.

btw if you want to remember, I found out it helps, right before falling asleep, to literally ask your subconscious to send a dream and tell your subconscious that you will write it down the moment you wake up

most nights I’ve remembered at least a tiny bit of a dream since I started doing this, and usually when I write something down, even one little impression, more comes back. it is wild

Interesting. Maybe I’ll give it a try, if I remember. Have been writing notes more lately and finding it generally helpful with clarifying my thoughts. Thanks
