Spam is bad for Bitcoin. Bitcoin Core is funded by shitcoiners who want more ways to put spam on Bitcoin. Core removed configurability for node runners to not relay spam in their latest version update (removed power from node runners). Knots gives you configurability to not relay spam, running Knots helps signal that the power is in the node runners and you do not support spam on Bitcoin.

It's actually named after the knots that Jesus whipped the money changers with in the temple.

It's worth remembering he actually hung out with tax collectors. Didn't condone what they did, but you know, forgave them.

It was the money changers even He didn't have patience for.
