The Gulf Stream is not going to collapse, despite recent reports suggesting otherwise. The Gulf Stream and the AMOC (Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation) are two different ocean currents and should not be confused.

The Gulf Stream is a surface current that warms the Eastern Seaboard of the U.S. and has a significant impact on the climate in Northwestern Europe.

The AMOC is a deep, slow, and cold current that is only about one-tenth the size of the Gulf Stream.

While there is evidence that the AMOC has slowed down in the past, there is no direct evidence of it collapsing.
