What’s the best way to give a normie some Bitcoin as a physical gift?

Family member is graduating from school. Giving them some fiat and I want to include btc in addition. #bitcoin

This is currently my plan. Wondering if anything new has come along. Thanks!

Canada had preloaded one's not sure if they still do after the trucking thing

I can't vouch for them but have seen bitcards.com. Might be worth looking over

They might be considered kyc/custodial?

These guys also do gift cards. #[5]

Maybe a gift card for binance, or load a lightning wallet with some bitcoin.

I just loaded some satscards for this reason https://satscard.com

Ok, cool. Thanks for the info!!

I like opendime. I give it and prefer it because it doesn’t require a phone or bespoke software or anything. Also people keep it stored + more safe than an nfc card.

I would buy a Visa prepaid card from The Bitcoin Company or Bitrefill and get him a wallet with some Sats from the #[2] 🧡⚡️

personally we have gifted some #bitcoin to our second godchild (when we were asked and accepted the first one we weren't into #btc yet) - but we went the easy route to just write down the 12 seed words and the private and pub-key and amount on a card (+a backup we kept sealed with us just for the worst case scenario the parents lose it)

a more appealing way would definitely be something like this: https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-wallet/paper/

but please please use the safe / offline route!

Paper wallets / open dimes / anything without a backup is a bad idea. Your normie friends will lose them, and then be mad there is no one to contact to get the bitcoins back. A seed phrase you back up for them is one of the best options for normies. When they level up, they can move the coins to a new wallet out of your hands. If they never get the spark, you're there to help.
