According to the Barcode of #life initiative, given the REDUNDANCY among #taxonomists, we would need at least 12.000 professionals just to DESCRIBE new #species and get to know all the #biodiversity on the #planet.

Only in #Brazil, the number of UNKNOWN #species for some taxa varies from 10ths to hundreds of thousands. Even the MOST CAUTION estimates indicates that there are 7-fold more species TO BE described than the already known 200,000 ones.
