Pitching #nostr to normie friends and family is hard because it falls into that “hard to describe protocols” conundrum that Jeff Booth talks about.

Think about how easier it would be to pitch Amethyst or Damus, if they were centralized social apps with a few celebrity endorsements.

Now imagine trying to pitch someone in the 1980s on SMTP, or in the early 2000s on RSS, versus pitching them on Prodigy or Blogger.

Yes, perhaps all the layers of bitcoin and all adjacent protocols share similar traits in this regard.
