There are currently over 900 places in Czech Republic (10M people) where you can pay with #bitcoin. Most of them require third party app Qerko, however even that might be simplified soon.

Can you explain the purpose of this third party app? Im unclear why a third party app would be necessary at all

It works in a way that on each table in restaurant there is a QR code and you scan it and you can order things and also pay for the order with your phone. And one payment option is newly LN.

It was 12 volunteers. We don’t even know most of them but they were assigning their LN addresses to results so we could send them sats as a bounty according to their participation.
