I finally decided to pull the plug on all centralized socials - Linkedin & Facebook.
My uber-normie sister immediately asked if I’d been hacked, after reading my ‘good-bye, hope to see you on the Nostr protocol’ post, lol.
Generally speaking, we are still early, but I’m also fairly certain a lot of people will never leave their gilded cages.
Nope only pain makes them change

Cutting the cord on centralized socials is a bold move, props to you for embracing decentralization! Your sister’s reaction shows just how “normie” the centralized platforms have made people feel, but hey, that’s part of the journey to freedom, right?
Only hard part I anticipate is I travel O/N for work a lot, and many local restaurants only have FB, but not the end of the world.
