You will want a radio and a sound card device such as the digirig with the appropriate cables for your radio but these are some great tools to get started doing the digital ham radio modes.
install direwolf
follow the instructions from

install xastir
sudo apt install xastir
install wsjt-x
sudo apt install wsjtx
install js8call
sudo apt install js8call
install fldigi and flrig
download and install appropriate files from
install chirp on linux
