To address you pinned question, what is money, a shared fiction used to exchange value?
Interesting way to look at it. I think, yes in money being used as an exchange of value. But I think the root of money goes more to the core of life.. ( that sounded a little corny) but it does. Money is a representation of the time and mind power,thought, you put out to earn it. It's that exchange of value you mention. The value of your life. So this being the true nature of money, what is it the gov't takes from you by taxing you outright, but also by destroying the value of your money by inflating it away? They are taking your life. They are enslaving you. This is the matrix we live in, and Bitcoin & the Lightning Network are the Real World. I blame Ayn Rand and a speech that begins on p.410 of Atlas Shrugged for this diatribe. I think Ayn Rand is a damn decent starting point for many diatribes. I agree that taxation is the opposite of incentivizing anything, and it has been the central point since the Boston Tea Party, but so many have forgotten that….what was it again…oh yeah. Taxation without representation. 😁
