Will Insurance Costs Derail The EV Revolution?

Interesting article about insurance and Electric Vehicles. It's not only the EV's completely burning down to the ground in a chemical battery fire, but minor accidents can also total your already expensive EV. They are much more susceptible to damage. Higher insurance costs besides investing in home charging equipment and upgrading electrical boxes on top of the already more expensive EV's may backfire on sales.

The designs could be more simple, but when you are buying a new vehicle one or two standard deviations over the mean price, you will want a nice car for that price. That will resolve.

People in 230V countries, largely don't need any special home wiring upgrade to charge an EV. Except people with long commutes, or taxi drivers.
