the dead would rather have us, i think

then have us too guilty, too ashamed, too broken to even bring ourselves into remembering enough to carry them with us, carry them in

i dont think the dead are picky

i dont think the dead are complicated

i think they smile at being remembered

by anyone under any circumstance who simply cares
