The Crown Attorney’s office has abandoned another cocaine-trafficking prosecution amid allegations that Ottawa police Det. Kirk Gidley stole bundles of cash in a 2018 drug raid. The case collapsed when guns-and-gangs unit detective Gidley didn’t appear to testify after filing a psychologist’s note saying he "couldn’t show up".
