If you are getting bombarded by spam in your notifications from random pub keys with random messages multiple times a minute, just click on the top bar and choose "All Follows".

BTW, amethyst so far is working great blocking/reporting spam. The relays subscriptions options(global, dm, search, etc) are also a very nice feat to have and that can help in this.
