GM getting some of mine started today. Late but not as late as normal. You using a soil cube? How do you like cubing the starts?
soil blocks have been a game changer, we can start 1-2 weeks later & the plants don’t go root bound. when i put them in the ground they bounce
Hand pack or did you make a form?
i use a blocker 2 inch x4 on a ikea lunch tray 
How do you like it? What are you using in your mix?
this has eliots recipe, i dot use the green sand, i can’t find it. we got our tools from lee valley
this is our third year using this, no pots to pot up, healthier bigger plants. i will never go back

GM. What zone/area are you in? I’m planning to start one of the next two weekends, in Northern IL
I am a cold 7a i am south of Detroit, my last frost is mayish but last year it was april 8
these were my indoor lettuce and thought they were strong enough…
We’re just about the same latitude - next weekend it is!
what are you starting? These were indoor lettuce, and the others are snapdragons for easter. our main planting wont start for another month.
we jumped the gun last year and had 2ft plants and frost
Mostly tomatoes and peppers, as well as a few herbs.
Last year was my first time starting seeds. First weekend in march, and I put them in the beds a little before mothers’ day.
