Depends who it’s with and who adds it.
The money itself is not the thing of value. “Too much” or “too little” is irrelevant (to a point). What matters is whether the money is honest. (Which you obviously know)

The issue arises when the value of the money you have can be taken from you without you're consent or understanding.
Money is just a store of value and means of traid. Until it's not.
