Their invite-only model creates a universal blocklist that you have to get "allowed" on, and it can be revoked.

They have one relay-community and you have to be invited to enter it. We have n number of relay-communities, some with invites, some without, and anyone can spin up their own. Takes about 15-30 minutes to create one, at this point, and keeps getting faster, even if you self-host. We are heading toward #OneClickRelays .

They don't like the idea that you don't need an invite to use the Nostr protocol, but that is why Nostr precludes censorship. You "onboard" to Nostr by SELECTING A NEARLY-RANDOM STRING OF CHARACTERS.

For me, too. 😂 I'll post on one and then switch to the other to post something else, then forget I switched and reply to the first with the second, then wonder why nobody replied and switch back and 20 people responded and are like, Hello, Stella, you there?

Need to stop using Laeserin, but people keep DMing and tagging me, on that one, so I keep checking it.

The moral of this story is that they're going to Bluesky because they don't want free speech. Nostr is the exact opposite of what they're fleeing.

We're more like X, in that regard, but even more so, as the anticensorship protection is architectural, and not a question of personnel. We have no personnel.

Walls need to be covered by observation and fire, and that costs money that nobody wants to spend.

If citizenship/residency were an alienable property right, though, I think many haters would self-deport to sprouting Third World "Jonestowns" in a tantrum or out of a desire for free $.

Problem is that they are not liberal, far from it. Liberal, the word already says it is about liberty, freedom. They want to control which liberty you have, what you can do with it and what you can say. So just call them for what they are, fascist

Maybe. End result is the same i.m.o. (less freedom, big government). I find it always funny that they think fascists are on the right side of the political spectrum with their group think and anti free speech. So i think it is better to talk about collectivism/force (communism) and individualism/freedom (capitalism). I consider myself on the right side and have no problem with being a patriot and being proud of your nation. It becomes a problem when you want to control what other can and cannot do like in National Socialism a.k.a. Nazi's. But the left has poisoned the words just like it was foretold in the classic 1984 by Orwell.
