I finished 100% Crash 1 as a kid
It was very hard but straightfoward, anything requiring reading I couldn't finish until teenage tho, like Megaman Legends

oh yeah, Legends was a game I couldn't progress at all back at the time
I progressed a little by luck to the point of getting hover boot but not further than that. When I finished years later I was so happy.
