I agree! I will say it sounds easier than it is because you have to make design decisions.

One example: What do you do with a REQ that doesn’t have a kinds filter? Force the REQ to be more specific or parse every event that matches the filter and remove kind 4s?

We went with option 1 to try to reduce the footprint of our middleware but I’m not convinced that’s the best approach.

Does Damus make any REQs without a kind filter?
