The governor asking young ppl to have children is wild. The birthgap in PR speaks for itself in combination with the strong brain drain.
The gov asking ppl to bussnuts wouldn't be so wild to me if good schools and reliable infrastructure actually existed. Also the fact that they say this when the island has no industry for jobs in combination with 2/3 if the pop receiving food stamps and subsidized/free housing.
Bc things are so few opportunities, ppl have kids here then end up leaving. The real problem is unplanned childlessness combined with population retention.
Population peaked in 2000. PR financial crisis started in 06 and hasn't ended.
They need tax payers to pay their fiat debts in the future.
The island is already turning into a ghost town.
Bitcoin fixes PR, I just hope it does before statehood has a real chance.
