No... but if you're heading down to the coast, 'La Casona SV' is amazing beach hostel with tents on a first floor open balcony as well as private rooms. A short walk from La Libertad town, and right next to the bus for San Salvador. It's run by some lovely bitcoiners. Check it out if you can - you won't want to leave :)

is it possible to walk to the punta roca surf spot along the beach from there? on google maps it looks like there's a river to cross.

Yes - except when it's high tide AND there's been lots of rain; most of the time it's barely ankle deep and the dogs from La Casona would happily follow me across too.

Honestly though, Pelicano Surf Camp is a much more awesome spot. Very chill vibes, a really nice crowd (half local and half travellers) and literally a few minutes walk from La Casona.

The bus up to San Salvador costs $0.60 and departs every quarter of an hour.

Thanks for all the info 🤙
