Christianity: Worshipping Jesus or Becoming Like Him?

Is Christianity about worshipping Jesus, or is it about embodying His teachings and becoming like Him?

If we are made in the image of God, aren’t we all divine in potential—gods in the making? Jesus Himself said, “The kingdom of God is within you.” So is faith about bowing down, or is it about rising up?

True spirituality isn’t just about belief; it’s about transformation. The real question isn’t whether we should worship Jesus—it’s whether we dare to become what He showed us we could be.

Although we are made in His image, we will never be worthy of worship like Jesus. Seeking to become gods or be worshipped is the original sin committed by Satan, Adam, and Eve. Be careful.

Eternity in Heaven is all about worshipping God. Read Revelation. The chapters showing scenes from heave are all about every person, angel, and other being worshipping God.

Matthew 5:48:

“Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”

Jesus is basically saying, “Strive to be as complete and whole in love as God is.” He’s not expecting perfection in the way we usually think of it, like never making mistakes. Instead, He’s calling us to grow in love, maturity, and kindness (greek translation for perfection, as the bible was written on)—treating others with the same grace and mercy that God shows. It’s about aiming to reflect God’s character in how we live, being like God himself.

Which I just feel is great inspiration to live and strive for, keeping it real. 🙂

I'm sure of one thing: Jesus never intended to create any religion or cult. His teachings are 100% anti establishment, which includes believe in government or religious authority

Yes, Jesus never meant to establish a religion. He meant for us to find inner peace, a way out of this hell-hole by finding our Teacher within, as He did.
