that said you can run a regular ( non-diesel ) combustion engine ( that was designed or modified for that purpose ) on alcohol and it actually makes more power that way because Ethanol has 113 octane rating which is basically racing fuel.
for example Koenigsegg cars that make up to and over 2,000 horsepower require 85% Ethanol fuel to reach full power.
a diesel engine can't get anywhere close to the horsepower of an engine designed to run on ethanol.

The whole reason that our food is full of seed oils is because the farmers(corporations) who were subsidized to grow canola etc. did not want to stop getting paid.
The oil industry bought up all the food companies and started putting the seed oil to he food to stop people using it for diesel engines
